How we make money.

The short version: Haalytics earns commissions when readers buy some of the tools we recommend, through affiliate links. This never changes our scores or recommendations.

The long version

Haalytics participates in affiliate programs offered by some of the analytics tool companies we review. When you click an affiliate link on this site and subsequently purchase a subscription, we may receive a commission from that company at no additional cost to you.

Which links are affiliate links?

Every outbound link to a tool vendor that pays us a commission is tagged with rel="sponsored nofollow" per Google's guidelines. Our primary affiliate CTAs on review pages are always labeled clearly.

Links to documentation, blog posts, and company pages where no commercial relationship exists are not affiliate links.

How this affects our reviews (and how it doesn't)

What changes: Nothing about the score, the pros, the cons, or the recommendation.

What's true:

  • We review tools that don't have affiliate programs alongside those that do.
  • We give negative reviews to tools with affiliate programs when warranted.
  • We do not accept payment, free upgrades, or any other consideration in exchange for a favorable review.
  • Our scoring rubric is public and reproducible.

Other income sources

In addition to affiliate commissions, Haalytics may eventually earn income from:

  • Display advertising (clearly labeled)
  • Sponsored content (clearly labeled, never influences editorial reviews)
  • Our own products — spreadsheet templates, Notion templates, and guides
